Approach

Here are some of the tools I use in my toolbox when providing my services.

1. NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) is a model of communication- how we communicate to self and others-and how that communication creates and affects our behaviour. As a study, it is a synthesis of cognitive and behavioural philosophies. Which focus on the information coming in through the neurology (cognitive) and the programs we run inside our heads to produce the behaviours (behavioural) we do.

2. NLP is a study of excellence and a model of how individuals structure their experience.

Neuro: Our experiences are processed via the five senses. Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic, Olfactory and Gustatory. Through our nervous system.

Linguistic: Language and other non-verbal communication systems through which our neural representations are coded, ordered and given meaning. In the form of pictures, sounds, feelings, tastes, smells and words (Self Talk)

Programming: The ability to discover and utilize programs. That we run (communication to ourselves and others) in our neurological systems to achieve our specific and desired outcomes.

In other words, NLP is how to use the language of the mind to consistently achieve our specific and desired outcomes.

3. Time Line Therapy®

This technique is a process of active imagination where you imagine floating above your life Time Line and letting go of negative emotions and or limiting decisions (or beliefs).  Then you are asked to create new events in your future, via your imagination. Support your goals or outcomes. Time Line Therapy® techniques have demonstrated positive results in a broad variety of presenting problems. It is a powerful technique which allows clients to make long-lasting changes in a very rapid way.

4. Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy Definitions

The definitions that follow here are from varied sources, all authorities in the field. Some are researches, some are writers and some are clinicians. You will see that the range of thinking on this single subject is varied and vast says A.M. Krasner PHD as you consider the following.

“Hypnosis is largely a question of your willingness to be receptive and responsive to ideas, and to allow these ideas to act upon you without interference. These ideas we call suggestions”(Weitzenhoffer and Hilgard)

“Hypnosis is a state of intensified attention and receptiveness to an idea or to a set of ideas” (Erickson)

“Hypnosis is a particular altered state of selective hyper suggestibility brought about in an individual by the use of a combination or relaxation, fixation of attention and suggestion.” (Ansari)

“Hypnosis is a state of relatively heightened susceptibility to prestige suggestions.” (Hull)

“Hypnosis is an altered state within which suggestions have peculiarly potent effect.” (Bowers)

“Hypnosis is nothing but an aspect of conditioning.” (Salter)

“In hypnotherapy the subconscious, having no power to reason, accepts and acts upon any fact or suggestion given to it by the conscious mind.”

“Hypnosis is a process which produces relaxation, distraction of the conscious mind, heightened suggestibility and increased awareness, allowing access to the subconscious mind through the imagination. It also produces the ability to experience thoughts and images as real.” (Krasner)

5. Coaching

Coaching could be defined as a developmental ongoing interaction between two people, The Coach and The Client which assists the Client to develop his or her capabilities, achieve his or her goals and objectives and produce successful results.

The NLP Coach facilitates change through verbal and non-verbal communication (questions, reflections, explanations, metaphors, tasks, guiding focus, exercises, etc).

NLP Coach promotes and supports his client’s growth, learning, professional development and personal bench-marks.

The NLP Coach creates and facilitates change. He elicits, selects, trains, asks meaningful questions, stimulates and creates insights. He supports and encourages client’s self-expression.
